Issues with the Spotify InApp Player

We recently noticed that our in-app player for Spotify and the associated bookmark function are not working. Unfortunately, Spotify has decided to no longer offer the functions required for this feature.

We are currently examining and evaluating various solutions, but at this point we cannot say whether the player can be continued, as the situation is not entirely in our hands.

But rest assured, all audiobooks and radio plays will continue to be curated every day and are still available on Spotify and other retailers. Your library, reviews and ratings will also remain the same. The main difference is that you will now be redirected to Spotify to listen to an audiobook rather than stay in the app. We will promptly remove the in-app player with an update so that the audiobooks you discover on lismio can be opened directly in Spotify.

We're doing our best to work towards offering you an alternative but in the meantime, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We understand that for many of you, the in-app player was a central lismio feature. We look forward to offering you much more than that, namely, a platform, a community, to not only discover audiobooks and radio plays, but also experience them in different ways and formats.

A look into the future will reveal many more features related to the world of storytelling and we look forward to discovering them with you.

More news will follow shortly. Check out our social media channels and you’re always welcome to join our Discord server.
